At the present time, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind utilizes the Standby Queue during Disney After Hours events, with wait times that vary throughout the evening and sometimes reaching over an hour at the busiest period!

In most cases, guests who have been late to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind have been allowed to ride after scanning their park ticket at the attraction's entrance. Though this may not be the case for every day, especially during the parks' busy seasons.

The current typical hours at Epcot are 9AM to 9PM. Hours can vary beyond that—for example, there are some dates with 10AM openings or 9:30PM closes.

Historically, Epcot tends to have its hours updated semi-regularly, typically by Disney extending the closing time later into the evening. Like we said, it isn't a guarantee, but if you are traveling during a busy time of the year you may luck out and get to enjoy Epcot past the standard 9 pm closing time.

During the Halloween season, Disney will transform Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout into Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark. Guests who wish to ride the original version will have to do so before 2 p.m.

Are there drops or upside-down parts? The ride has no straight drops, but there are some areas where the track is curved so you're turning down (while the seat rotates keeping you facing the same way). It does not go upside down.

On most rides you can either place the backpack on the ride car floor, behind and between your legs, and you will be just fine. I did this all last week with a string backpack and had no problems. I even rode on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind with the bag, and no issues!

As a general rule of thumb the best day of the week to visit EPCOT typically tends to be Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. We would recommend visiting on a Wednesday during the festivals mentioned above.

EPCOT is arguably the least family-friendly park at Walt Disney World, so you may not need more than a few hours to do everything of interest if you have small children. With that said, a full day at EPCOT is highly recommended for first-timers.
