Can you see the whole Bronx Zoo in one day?

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SEE THE ZOO? With 265 acres of wildlife habitats and attractions, it's difficult to see the entire zoo in one day. For shorter visits, take a two-hour tour of our most popular exhibits, like Tiger Mountain, Himalayan Highlands, Congo Gorilla Forest, and World of Reptiles.

I think the Central Park zoo is charming, but the Bronx zoo has more to see. Much prefer open space zoos in the hinterlands . . . although you often need binocs to see the animals. The Bronx Zoo is the Ferrari of zoos the Central Park Zoo is the Honda of zoos, but the Bronx Zoo requires a large time allocation.

The zoo is quite large so one must be prepared to do a lot of walking. Food stations do provide meals that will accommodate vegetarians. We splurged on a camel ride which wasn't included in the Total Experience ticket.

Comparing the Park Sizes You'll be walking a lot at both parks, but the San Diego Zoo provides a convenient hop-on hop-off bus that can take visitors around to each area of the park. On the other hand, Safari Park is larger due to the larger animal enclosures and requires more walking between exhibits.
