Can you send cigarettes in a package? UPS only allows sending tobacco in the mail if you have a legal license to do so. The package should also comply with local and federal laws. These laws can be found on every country's official website. However, you should know that UPS does not ship cigarettes at all.


What cannot be shipped by UPS?

Prohibited and Restricted Items for U.S. Import/Export

  • Animal products, non-domesticated (e.g. mother of pearl inlay, snakeskin watchband)
  • Articles of unusual value.
  • Biological substances, Category B and exempt human or animal specimens.

  • Electronic cigarettes.
  • Firearms and weapons.
  • Furs.


What happens if you get caught mailing cigarettes?

Any cigarettes or smokeless tobacco made nonmailable by this subsection that are deposited in the mails shall be subject to seizure and forfeiture, pursuant to the procedures set forth in chapter 46 of this title.
