As with anything it depends how you value the benefits. I'd say for $50 it's a good deal. You get free alcoholic drinks (though premium ones still cost) and snacks plus somewhere quiet to eat.
Admirals Club lounges are offered by American Airlines, and our credit card provides us access to the lounge. The lounge offers good food but not much variety. It can also be very crowded, even on travel days that aren't busy.

You can stay overnight and sleep at 24-hour airport lounges, as long as they don't have any rules on how long you stay. Many airport lounges close at night or limit access to just a few hours before your flight. Go to your airport lounge program's website to review hours and rules at the lounge you want to visit.
In many airport lounges drinks are served by bartenders, so if you want a glass of wine or a cocktail, they'll have to serve you. It's not unusual to see people tip $1-3 per drink, with the lower end being common for pouring a glass of wine, and the higher end being common for a custom cocktail.
