Can you smoke or vape at Universal Studios Orlando?

Smoking is permitted only in designated areas. There are currently 12 smoking areas at Universal's Islands of Adventure® and 7 at Universal Studios® for our guest's convenience. All other areas outside of these designated smoking areas are smoke free.

Previously, Universal Orlando Resort had several smoking areas inside each park, but they have been reduced down to one each. Smoking areas in CityWalk remain the same. In Universal's Islands of Adventure, the one remaining smoking area is in front of the lagoon in Port of Entry, not far from the park entrance.

There are sample seats outside of the ride that you can try. I'm a bigger person, and I just barely fit in the seats. This has been an issue for other guests too, and they actually offer some modified seats now.

In most cases, the answer is yes. Most hotel rooms have sensors or these vape detectors, especially if the hotel has a no-smoking rule. Whether you smoke nicotine or marijuana, the sensor will detect the particles roaming in the air and alert the hotel management.
