All guests must pass through a security screening that includes high-tech metal detectors and bag checks. These scanners are designed to identify various items, and security cast members are well-trained to recognize vaping devices. If a vape pen is found during the search, you will generally be told you cannot bring it into the park and must return it to your vehicle or hotel. If a guest successfully brings one in but is caught using it inside the park, they can be escorted out and may even face a permanent ban from Disney properties. For those who do vape, designated smoking and vaping areas are located outside the main security perimeter. It is far better to follow the rules than to risk ruining an expensive vacation for a few minutes of vaping.
