Can you stay at EPCOT past 9?

Historically, Epcot tends to have its hours updated semi-regularly, typically by Disney extending the closing time later into the evening. Like we said, it isn't a guarantee, but if you are traveling during a busy time of the year you may luck out and get to enjoy Epcot past the standard 9 pm closing time.

Yes, you can stay at EPCOT past 9:00 PM, but the nature of your visit changes significantly after the official park closing time. Standard day guests are typically permitted to stay through the conclusion of the nighttime spectacular, Luminous The Symphony of Us, which often starts at 9:00 PM. After the show, guests are generally allowed to browse remaining open shops in World Celebration or slowly make their way toward the exits. However, for those wanting to continue riding attractions, Disney offers "Disney After Hours at EPCOT" on select nights from January through September 2026. This is a separately ticketed event that runs from 9:30 PM to 12:30 AM, offering low wait times for hits like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, along with complimentary snacks. Additionally, guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resorts can take advantage of "Extended Evening Theme Park Hours" on certain nights, allowing them to stay and enjoy the park for two hours after official closing. If you do not have a special event ticket or qualify for extended hours, you will eventually be ushered toward the front of the park by Cast Members once the "park clear" process begins.

In general, you should think of Epcot as a two-day park. There's so much to see and do that you really need a couple of days to enjoy everything without feeling like you're rushing through the park. But we recognize that most people can't or won't give two of their precious days at Disney to Epcot.

Of course, with so much to ride, eat, see, and do, you could spend at least one full day at Epcot, and some guests staying for a week opt to visit more than once, coming back another afternoon to take advantage of the restaurants and entertainment.

Get In Line at Closing Disney's usual policy states that as long as you are in line for an attraction by the time the Park closes, you'll get to ride it. That means if you get on line for Test Track at 8:59 p.m., you may walk off it at 9:30 or later, meaning you'll walk through the Park after it closes.

Is Epcot fun? For the right visitor, yes. If you're into rides more than general theme park merriment and atmosphere, we suggest skipping Epcot, as it doesn't offer as many thrills. However, families, foodies and world's fair enthusiasts will likely enjoy their time at this concept park.
