Can you stay in The Centurion Lounge overnight?

Please refrain from sleeping, lying on the floor, and placing luggage and feet on or reclining across lounge furniture. American Express will not be liable for any articles lost or stolen or damages suffered by the purchaser or visitor inside The Centurion Lounge.

No, you cannot stay in The Centurion Lounge overnight. Most Centurion Lounges have operating hours that roughly align with the first and last flight of the day at their respective airports, typically opening around 5:00 AM and closing by 9:00 PM or 10:00 PM. They do not offer sleeping pods or overnight accommodations. Furthermore, American Express enforces a "Three-Hour Rule" which prevents guests from entering the lounge more than three hours before their scheduled departure time (unless you are on a connecting layover). In 2026, new rules also state that for layovers, you generally cannot access the lounge more than five hours before your connecting flight. If you have an overnight layover and need a place to sleep, you will need to book an airport hotel like a Minute Suite (if available) or use a hotel connected to the terminal, as the lounge staff will ask all guests to leave at closing time for cleaning and restocking.
