Can you swim on Star Island?

Lifeguards are on duty when swimming is allowed, which is generally 9 am to 5 pm for most of the summer, and with shorter hours in September (when the water is often rather cold). Swimming on Star Island also includes Polar Bear Dips before breakfast for those brave souls.
