Can you take a film camera into Disneyland?

As long as it is not a large, professional camera (think a TV Camera), you are free to bring your personal camera with you to Disney Parks.

Yes, you are fully permitted to take film cameras into Disneyland (and Walt Disney World) in 2026. Disney encourages all forms of personal photography, and "analog" cameras—from vintage 35mm SLRs to Polaroid and Instax models—have seen a huge resurgence in the parks. There are no restrictions on the camera body itself, provided it is handheld. However, there are strict rules regarding accessories: tripods and monopods must be small enough to fit inside a standard backpack and cannot extend more than 6 feet (182cm). Most importantly, selfie sticks and hand-held extension poles are strictly prohibited for safety reasons. When passing through security, you may want to request a manual hand-check for your film rolls to avoid potential fogging from the high-energy X-ray or CT scanners used at the entrances. Most security Cast Members are familiar with film and will accommodate this request if you have your film in a clear plastic bag ready for inspection.
