Can you take your shoes off at Disney World?

Per Walt Disney World park rules, shoes must be worn at all times. I certainly understand not wanting to walk around with wet shoes and socks. That is the last thing I would want to do, so I highly recommend bringing along some flip flops as they are easy to change into and easily removed.
