Can you throw away Disney MagicBands?

Disney makes it very easy to recycle your used Magic Bands. Simply go to any front desk or guest relations center and ask them to recycle your used bands. You can also recycle them at home. However, before you do, you must be sure to log in to your Disney account and remove your important personal information.

If your MagicBands are still useable, all you need to do to reuse them is to make sure your new Walt Disney World theme park tickets and reservations are linked to the same My Disney Experience account that your MagicBands are on.

Does my toddler need a MagicBand? If your toddler is under three they do not need a ticket and therefore do not need a MagicBand. Children 3 and over will need tickets, park reservations and their own LL/Genie+ reservations, so a MagicBand would be useful, but is not necessary. See below for other options.

Under all of your MagicBands you are going to see the option to Activate/Deactivate depending on the status and the option to Report Lost. If your MagicBand is currently deactivated, you'll just select the Activate button and it will be good to go.
