Can you upgrade a ticket to Park Hopper same day?

Nope! Walt Disney World Resort Guests are welcome to add the Park Hopper option to their ticket at any point during their stay –– all it takes is a quick visit to any Guest Relations location or theme park ticketing window to pay the difference in cost between the tickets.

Do note that you cannot upgrade to a park hopper for just one day. If you upgrade from a base ticket to a park hopper, you will need to do it for the length of the ticket.

The Genie 120-minute rule says that you can make a new reservation at most 2 hours from when you made the last one, and this countdown timer doesn't change if you modify the reservation. The short answer is: As long as you have a valid theme park ticket with a Park Hopper option or an annual pass, you can park hop as many times as you'd like! Of course, you must also have a theme park reservation for the first park you visit. Then once the clock strikes 2 p.m., you're free to park hop away.

Guests with a Park Hopper ticket can enjoy early entry into one park and may cross over and switch between parks on the same day beginning at 11:00 AM, subject to park capacity.

To upgrade your theme park ticket, stop by one of the main entrance ticket booths at the Disneyland Resort. You will pay the difference in price from what was originally paid to the current-day price of the new ticket type. The new ticket type must be of equal or greater value than the original ticket.
