British Airways allows the use of Bluetooth devices, including wireless headphones and keyboards, during the flight; however, they must be switched off and stowed during taxi, take-off, and landing for safety reasons. Once the aircraft is airborne and the crew gives the signal that electronic devices are permitted, you can connect your headphones to your personal smartphone, tablet, or laptop. On newer aircraft equipped with the latest in-flight entertainment (IFE) systems, you may even be able to pair your Bluetooth headphones directly with the seatback screen. If you are flying on an older aircraft, you might still need a Bluetooth transmitter (dongle) to plug into the traditional headphone jack if you wish to use your own wireless gear with the airline's movies. Always remember to remove your headphones during the safety briefing so you can clearly hear the crew's instructions.
