In 2026, you cannot use CLEAR+ at international airports outside the United States, as it remains a service exclusive to about 60 major U.S. airports. However, CLEAR has recently expanded its eligibility to include international travelers from 40 different countries (such as the UK, Canada, Germany, and Japan). This means that while you can't use CLEAR when flying out of London or Tokyo, international visitors can now enroll in the program to speed through security when flying within or out of the U.S. For those traveling abroad, CLEAR is often used in a "bundle" with TSA PreCheck to provide the fastest possible domestic departure experience. For reentry into the U.S. after an international trip, CLEAR is not a substitute for Global Entry, which is the government-run program specifically designed for customs and immigration clearance. Travelers are encouraged to use CLEAR for the "ID verification" phase and Global Entry for the "Passport Control" phase to create the most seamless international travel experience available today.
