Can you use DAS for character meet and greets?

DAS has usually not been available to guests during special events. This year, however, DAS is available at select meet and greets for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. Cast Members were spotted yesterday asking guests whether or not they had a DAS in lines to meet characters.

Under the revised 2024–2026 Disney Disability Access Service (DAS) guidelines, DAS is primarily intended for attractions with long standby queues and is not typically used for standard, walk-up character meet-and-greets. However, for a few "high-demand" character locations that utilize a formal standby line (such as Mickey at Town Hall or certain Princesses at Fairytale Hall), you can request a DAS return time via the My Disney Experience app. For most "roaming" characters or outdoor greeting spots, DAS is not applicable. In 2026, Disney has shifted the focus of DAS to support guests who, due to a developmental disability like autism, cannot wait in a conventional queue environment for an extended period. If a character meet-and-greet does not offer a DAS return time, Cast Members often suggest visiting during "low-flow" times or utilizing the Lightning Lane Multi Pass (if the character is included) to reduce the wait time, as the DAS system is strictly managed to ensure it remains available for those who need it most.

You can definitely use the pass for character meet & greets if they offer a Lightning Lane (formerly FastPass+ line) option. However, the DAS pass can not be used for attractions, entertainment and character meet and greets that do not offer both a standby line AND a Lightning Lane.
