Disney World's DAS system works on all rides at the theme parks including those without a Lightning Lane and the Individual Lightning Lane attractions. For attractions that do not have Lightning Lane, just simply ask a cast member and they will typically direct you to enter through the exit of an attraction.
“The cast member was so rude and condescending and denied me the DAS,” the Guest recalled. “So, I went in February, ended up passing out in line to Soarin' and was just generally miserable while standing and waiting in lines because I was afraid I'd pass out again.”
While there is no specific list of what disabilities qualify for DAS at Disney World, some common conditions that may be approved for a DAS Pass include ADHD, autism, or anxiety.
Some common conditions and diagnoses that may be approved include autism, anxiety, and ADHD. Basically, if you have any condition or disorder that makes it challenging to remain in lines for extended periods of time, then you qualify for a Disney DAS pass.
This service works by providing guests with a return time for rides that is equal to the current standby time. So for example, if Seven Dwarfs Mine Train has a 60-minute wait time then the DAS user will return to the attraction in 60 minutes and then will use the Lightning Lane to experience the ride.
While DAS return times require you to wait the full standby time, Genie+ selections can be made for the next available time window and can be used right away. Purchasing Genie+ is not necessary when utilizing DAS, but there may be days where using both could be helpful, such as peak holiday times.
In terms of what to say to get a DAS pass, start by explaining why waiting in extended queues would be difficult for you. For example: “I experience ___________ which makes tolerating long lines difficult.” “When I'm in line for a long period of time, ___________ happens.”
However, the Disneyland Resort is no longer utilizing Boarding Groups for this attraction. Instead, Ride of the Resistance can be accessed either by a standby line or through Disney Genie+ as an Individual Lightning Lane selection.
Sign up for 'DAS pass'Guests with any condition (including ADHD) that prevents them from waiting in extended lines can obtain one. While a DAS pass won't give you immediate access to a ride, you'll get a return time comparable to the ride's current wait time.
