In 2026, the service formerly known as Genie Plus (now part of the Lightning Lane Multi Pass system) is not available for use during "After Hours" events. Disney After Hours events are separate, hard-ticketed experiences held after the parks officially close to the general public. These events are designed with significantly limited capacity, meaning that wait times for the majority of attractions are naturally very low, often between 5 and 15 minutes. Because the primary value of the Lightning Lane system is to bypass long standby lines, it becomes redundant during these exclusive windows. Furthermore, the Lightning Lane infrastructure is usually disabled or reserved for operational testing during these late-night hours. If you attend an After Hours event in 2026, you will simply use the standard standby entrance for all attractions. It is also important to note that your daytime Lightning Lane selections do not "carry over" into the event; the two systems operate under entirely different ticketing tiers and operational schedules.
