Can you use lightning lane without reservation?

To use the Lightning Lane, you need a reservation for a specific time. Disney Genie is a feature of My Disney Experience. The Genie page in the app has two tabs, the Tip Board and the My Day tab. Can you have more than one Genie+ Lightning Lane reservation at a time? Yes. The Genie 120-minute rule says that you can always make a new reservation if two hours have passed since you made the last one, or two hours since park opening if you made the reservation before the park opened.

Missing a Lightning Lane entirely will result in you not being able to book another one for the same ride. However, once the appropriate time elapses you can book another ride. My suggestion is to be strategic with the Lightning Lane bookings and aim to keep modifying to a time you know you will make it.

Selling Out & Hardest to Get Most Individual Lightning Lane attractions will sell out at some point during a given day. This depends on the date you are visiting and how crowded the theme parks are that day. The most popular attractions will sell out first, sometimes within minutes of reservations opening up.

Genie Plus is definitely worth it for Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, and if you don't like early starts, you might consider it for Epcot and Animal Kingdom. If you are park hopping, Genie+ is even better value as it maximises the number of rides you have access to.
