Can you walk all the way around Central Park?

There are 58 miles of walking paths in Central Park, but you probably won't have time to do them all in a brief visit. Your journey will be around three miles if you walk the park from top to bottom, using the walking paths inside the park. However, a good Central Park walking tour route will likely take longer.

I think it's best to start your walk from the southwest corner of 59th St. and 5th Ave by the Pulitzer Fountain. It's easy to find the spot because the statue is located directly in front of the Plaza Hotel's main entrance and if you follow the pathways you will end up at 72nd St. and Central Park West.
