Can you walk between Terminal 1 and 2 after security?

An enclosed walkway connects the Departures Level of Terminal 1 with the Arrivals Level of Terminal 2. Once you pass through security in both terminals, you are within a common departures area, and you can freely walk between the shopping areas and boarding gates across both terminals.

STL Airport provides a free Terminal Shuttle which runs 24 hours a day between Exit 12 at both terminals. There is no route to walk between terminals at this time. Shuttle ride time is approximately 10 minutes, as Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are just over one mile apart.

For international arriving passengers, you must claim all checked bags at Customs and recheck with your departing airline, even if the bags are checked to your final destination! Literally it's 12 feet from terminal 1 to terminal 2 at the Oakland airport. The entire airport is about the size of one of those really small industrial parks. It'll take you all of 2 minutes to make the walk (they're even connected inside)!

Terminal transfers All concourses at both terminals are connected (both landside and airside) by a free Sky Train (monorail). There is also a free shuttle bus. Luggage carts are not allowed on the Sky Train. The transfer between Terminal 1 and 2 on foot takes around 15 minutes.
