To get there, you'll have to drive or take a Disney resort bus. In fact, Animal Kingdom is the only park on Disney property that is totally isolated in this way. However, if you're staying in one part of Animal Kingdom Lodge, there are walking paths to the other.
Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House to Kidani Village: While there's an internal shuttle connecting the two resorts, many don't realize how quick and easy the walking path from Kidani Village to Jambo House can be. Sunset Savanna – Kidani VillageThe largest overlook at Kidani Village is Kidani Rock, located straight through the lobby on the second floor of the resort. While smaller than the Arusha Rock Overlook at Jambo House, Kidani Rock is a great place to spot giraffes, zebras, and ankole cattle to name a few!
Like most Disney parks, the best time to visit Disney's Animal Kingdom is in January or September when the weather is mild, crowds are thin, and the prices have plummeted. Head to the Animal Kingdom first thing in the morning on the right day of the week, and you'll spot plenty of animals on Kilimanjaro Safaris.
Geographically, Hollywood Studios is the closest park to Animal Kingdom, making for a quicker hopping experience than if you were to hop from EPCOT or Magic Kingdom. Just keep in mind that you could be held up at Disney's Hollywood Studios if your plans include riding Rise of the Resistance.
