DFW Terminal C
Terminal C is connected to Terminals A and D via airside walkways but is not connected to Terminal E.
If you are flying into the U.S. and connecting to a domestic flight, then a 50 minute layover will be insufficient. In that time span, you would have to deplane, go through immigration, collect your bags, pass through customs, drop your bags, reclear security and then make it to your gate for your next flight.

If you're connecting from a domestic flight, then you won't need to clear customs and immigration, and you can remain airside to connect to your next terminal, unless you're flying from Terminal E where no airside connections are available.

Overall, passengers usually have to re-clear security for connecting flights, though there may be some exceptions depending on the airport and flight itinerary. To make this process easier, checking with the airline or airport ahead of time is recommended.

Changing terminals at DFW does not take long: on domestic-to-international, traveling on one ticket with boarding pass in hand, it can be done airside in about 20 minutes. The recommended layover time for domestic flights is normally one hour. However, as previously stated, you may require longer if your flights are booked with two different airlines, if you are traveling to a very busy airport or if you require special assistance.

In the event that you missed a connection or got held up in security and your checked luggage has gone ahead without you, immediately track down an airline representative. The carrier may be able to track your bags and hold them for you until your arrival.

The Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport is a very large airport. But despite its size, it is still pretty easy to navigate. There is a Skylink that takes people from one terminal to another, and there are plenty of dining and shopping areas throughout the entire airport.
