Can you walk from Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary hotel?

The Contemporary Resort and Bay Lake Tower are located within easy walking distance of the Magic Kingdom theme park. This short walk is convenient for guests staying at the resorts to access the park without waiting on or riding in a crowded monorail.

Start in between Bay Lake Tower and the Contemporary Resort. Walk towards the driving entrance, you may see Space Mountain off to your right in the distance! Soon you'll find a small security tent (we couldn't film here). Continue walking towards the bus station at Magic Kingdom and the front entrance!

There's too much in the park to easily do in a single day. It's probably more of a one-and-a-half or two-day park. That said, this is a one day itinerary post, and there are a few approaches you can take to have one very good nearly perfect day at Magic Kingdom.

According to friends, family, and personal experience, we walk at least 10-12 miles on an average day visiting the parks. This is a lot more than many of us walk normally!

It is possible to walk between EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. However the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom are isolated by distance from all the other parks. To walk between EPCOT and DHS, you use the paths described above from the EPCOT Deluxe Resort Area which exit the area on opposite sides.

Non-alcoholic drinks and waters are totally something you can bring into Disney, it's even encouraged! It is so nice to have a drink on hand whenever you need to quench your thirst. You can bring refillable water bottles and refill them at water stations throughout the parks.

Magic Kingdom Fireworks are at 9pm on most nights. If there is a special event like Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party the fireworks may be earlier, or may not be scheduled for regular guests visiting that day.

Most of the time the monorail is faster. Unless you catch the boat just as it is ready to leave. We have stayed here a few times the monorail is the easy way to get there with no delays.
