Can you walk to Disneyland from parking lot?

Both parking areas offer transportation to get you closer to the entrance of the parks, or you may walk if you choose. Walking from the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure takes about 10-15 minutes, but may be longer depending on how busy the security checkpoint is to get on to Resort property.

At the Disneyland Resort in California, whether you can walk to the parks depends on which parking area you use. If you park in the Mickey & Friends or Pixar Pals parking structures, the distance to the main entrance is roughly 0.5 to 0.7 miles. While there is a dedicated pedestrian bridge and a walkway (the "Magic Way" path) that allows you to walk to the Downtown Disney District and then to the parks, most guests prefer to take the free tram service provided by Disney. The walk takes about 15-20 minutes and can be a good way to avoid tram lines during peak times. However, if you park in the Toy Story Parking Area (an open-air lot on Harbor Blvd), walking is not recommended as it is much further away and involves navigating busy city street intersections. For this lot, Disney provides a continuous shuttle bus service that drops you off right at the main Esplanade. For those who enjoy a bit of extra exercise before a long day of standing, the walk from the structures through Downtown Disney is quite pleasant, but the vast majority of visitors utilize the provided transportation.
