Can you walk to the boardwalk from the Swan and Dolphin?

Encompassing Crescent Lake, Disney's BoardWalk is “a village on the water” located right next door to the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin. It is accessible by walkways connecting to our resort.

How do Swan and Dolphin guests get to the Disney parks? Given the proximity to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, Swan and Dolphin guests could walk or take a water taxi to either of those parks. On the flip side, Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom are only accessible by bus.

The Swan and Dolphin use the standard Disney bus transportation system, so you should find it to be pretty reliable. The bus ride to the Magic Kingdom should take about 20 to 25 minutes, but remember that the wait time could be up to 20 minutes as well. Buses depart from the front entrance of the Swan, Dolphin, and Swan Reserve to the Magic Kingdom® Park, Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park and Disney Springs® area approximately every 20 – 25 minutes. Guests visiting the Magic Kingdom® Park will be dropped off at Disney's Ticket and Transportation Center.

We actually did this walk the other day as we are staying at the Beach Club, but from the Swan or Dolphin there is also a walking path and if you walk as slow as us it will take about 15 minutes, but if you walk at a normal pace you should easily be able to do it in 10 minutes or so.

Boardwalk Resort Transporation Boats leave the dock every 20 minutes and also travel to Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, and the Swan and Dolphin hotels as well to pick up guests. To get to the boat dock, exit from the back of the lobby and head straight to the lake.
