Can you wear fanny pack on Disney rides?

Disney parks are no problem for using Fanny Packs/Bum Bags; I was just there this past weekend, and never had to take mine off. Universal and SeaWorld, however, are very strict on some of their rides, allowing NOTHING to be taken on them, and Universal even has metal detectors to check your pockets for objects.

Yes, you can wear a fanny pack (or "belt bag") on the vast majority of Disney World rides in 2026. In fact, they are often recommended by frequent park-goers as the most efficient way to keep valuables like phones and wallets secure while keeping hands free. On most attractions, the fanny pack can stay strapped to your waist; for rides with a lap bar, you may simply need to rotate the bag to your hip to ensure a snug fit of the restraint. However, there are a few high-thrill exceptions: on TRON Lightcycle / Run, almost all loose items, including fanny packs, must be placed in a dedicated locker before boarding. On other thrill rides like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind or Space Mountain, you may be asked to stow the bag in a small mesh pocket on the ride vehicle or place it at your feet. As long as your bag is within the general park size guidelines (approx. 24" x 15" x 18"), it is considered a "practically perfect" accessory for navigating the parks without the bulk of a heavy backpack.
