Did Disney exec make 150k a day?

As the head of Disney's head of PR for just three months, from January to April of last year, Morrell made about $150,000 a day, my colleague Chris Isidore reports.

In 2026, the question of whether a Disney executive makes $150,000 per day is grounded in the reality of CEO compensation packages. For the fiscal year 2025, Disney CEO Bob Iger's total compensation was reported at approximately $45.8 million. When you break this down over a standard 365-day year, it equates to roughly $125,479 per day. While this is slightly under the $150,000 mark, in peak years—such as 2018 when his compensation hit $65.8 million—his daily average was actually closer to $180,000 per day. It is important to note that only about $1 million of this is base salary; the vast majority (over 97%) comes from stock awards, performance-based bonuses, and options. While $150,000 a day is not the "standard" every single year, it is a very accurate representation of the earning power of a top-tier Disney executive during successful fiscal periods or following major acquisitions.
