Do buses go straight to EPCOT?

Direct Disney World bus routes are available between some of the theme parks, though there are some exceptions. To travel between Magic Kingdom and Epcot, you'll need to use the Walt Disney World Monorail, Disney's “Highway in the Sky,” with a transfer at the Transportation & Ticket Center, or TTC.

The EPCOT Monorail and the Express Monorail originate at the TTC and offer express round-trip service to EPCOT and Magic Kingdom park. The Resort Monorail and Express Monorail begin operating 30 minutes prior to when Magic Kingdom park opens and stop one hour after Magic Kingdom park closes.

We recommend arriving at Epcot 30 minutes before you're allowed in the park. That's an hour before the scheduled open if you have Early Entry or 30 minutes before scheduled entry if you don't have Early Entry.

We've found it to be a far more pleasant transportation experience than leaving an hour or two later. Our normal recommendation is to arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of Early Theme Park Entry. That remains the case with Epcot, without regard for which ride you want to do first.

The Epcot line makes a continuous loop between the TTC and Epcot, with no other stops. If you want to travel from the Magic Kingdom to Epcot via monorail, you'll board at the Magic Kingdom, exit at the TTC, and transfer to the Epcot line.

If riding the monorail isn't your thing, you can travel, albeit indirectly, from the Magic Kingdom to EPCOT via bus. Simply walk from the Magic Kingdom to any of the resort hotels around the Seven Seas Lagoon – the Contemporary (the closest), Polynesian Village, or Grand Floridian – and hop an EPCOT bus from there.

The Disney Skyliner System will take you in an aerial gondola to and from Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Opening in 2019, the Skyliner is located right outside Epcot's International Gateway and glides you to the entrance/exit at Disney's Hollywood Studios, which includes transfers.

And one of the best parts about the Disney skyliner is it is absolutely free to ride. Just like the Disney World monorail and bus services you do not need a ticket or have to pay to ride.

As a general rule of thumb the best day of the week to visit EPCOT typically tends to be Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. We would recommend visiting on a Wednesday during the festivals mentioned above.

Off-peak times fall around January, February, September, and early November. Discounts on vacation packages booked directly through Disney (which combine park tickets and hotel stays) can be found year-round, though they're most common at these less-crowded times.
