Do buses run from Fort Wilderness to Magic Kingdom?

To use the buses to get to Magic Kingdom, you must first find the correct bus stop. The bus stop you need to find is located at the front of Fort Wilderness and is called the Outpost Depot. It's also the bus stop you must use to visit the other Disney World theme parks and Disney Springs.

Currently, the primary Disney-provided transportation from Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground to Magic Kingdom is the internal boat (water taxi) service. While Disney typically relies on buses for most resort-to-park routes, Fort Wilderness is unique because of its boat-centric layout. However, bus service is provided as a backup or "supplemental" option, particularly during inclement weather when the boats cannot operate or during high-demand periods. For most of 2026, if you are staying at the settlement area near the beach, the boat is your most direct route. If you are at the front of the resort (Outpost), you would typically take an internal bus to the Settlement to catch the boat. Always check the "My Disney Experience" app upon arrival, as Disney occasionally adjusts bus routes during dock refurbishments or special events to ensure guests can still reach the park efficiently.
