Disney Cruise Line provides complimentary quality products in your stateroom for use – beautifully scented shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, and hand soap.
Rooms on Disney cruise ships are larger than rooms on most other ships in the industry, so you should have no problem finding one that suits your family's needs and budget. One thing to remember when booking is that all rooms must include one adult on the reservation.
After breakfast service ends in the late morning, all major cruise lines offer an all-day room service menu of salads, sandwiches, snacks and desserts. Most cruise lines have special in-room dining menus, separate from what you'd find that day on the buffet or in the main dining room.
Food and drinking are usually complimentary on the cruises. You are also allowed to bring your own snack on the cruise so that you can have what you love. A certain time is fixed for every meal - breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can either have it with everybody in the dining room or bring it to your room.
Many first-time cruisers don't realize that they won't be able to go directly to their staterooms upon boarding. Pass the time while you wait for your room to be ready and for the ship to set sail by enjoying lunch on the Lido Deck of the ship. This is a great way to make sure you aren't starving by dinner time!
As much as we're sure Disney would like to, they don't control the weather. Depending on when and where you sail, you're likely to find that temperatures on cooler weather itineraries average in the 40s-60s during the day – you're unlikely to encounter anything truly frigid during any DCL trip.
Disney Cruise Line does not offer microwaves for Guest use onboard. But don't worry, there are plenty of opportunities for snacks onboard; I love ordering the Cake of the Day selection or warm chocolate chip cookies from Room Service each afternoon to have ready for a before bedtime snack!
Bottled water and canned sodas are available for purchase in lounges and bars throughout the ship. Specialty coffees and more can be purchased in the Cove Cafe alongside complimentary treats and snacks. You will be able to stay well-hydrated, refreshed, and well-fed throughout your entire sailing!
Luckily, Disney Cruise Line makes it easy. You are more than welcome to bring bottled water with you on board. It must be unopened and packed in your carry-on luggage only. You may want to consider putting a few bottles in the carry-on bag for each member of your travel party to help distribute the weight.
Yes, robes and slippers will be provided in your stateroom. You might even find a toddler-sized robe hanging in your closet, too, for smaller cruisers! These are not yours to keep, but yours to enjoy during your voyage. The robes and slippers are made of cotton terry cloth and are so plush and comfy!
