Do Disney resorts put a hold on your credit card?

How much—and how long—is the hold? A: On the day of arrival, Resort hotels will place an authorization hold on your card for any balance due on the reservation—plus $100 for estimated incidental expenses. If your spending exceeds the original $100 hold, additional incremental holds will automatically be obtained.

Don't panic if you see this hefty added fee! Think of this like a deposit you'd put down for an event space.

If you're not sure how much the hold will be for, you can ask the desk clerk when you check in for the policy at that specific hotel.
