As of early 2026, easyJet does not offer full-service, high-speed Wi-Fi on its aircraft for general internet browsing. In a January 2026 update, easyJet's CEO confirmed that while the airline has held discussions with providers like Starlink, the current cost and the "fuel drag" caused by the necessary antennas make it economically unfeasible for a low-cost carrier at this time. However, easyJet does provide a limited local Wi-Fi network on many flights. This system does not connect to the internet but instead allows passengers to connect their own devices (phones, tablets) to an onboard server to access "Airborn" entertainment. Through this portal, you can view the flight map, play basic digital games, read the inflight magazine, and order food and boutique items from the "Eat.Drink.Shop" menu. While competitors like Vueling and Jet2 have begun limited rollouts of paid internet, easyJet maintains that their priority is keeping ticket prices low by avoiding the high weight and maintenance costs associated with satellite-based internet hardware.
