You can witness a unique interactive experience and see a wand choose a wizard. Visitors (including the wizard chosen* in the interactive experience) can purchase their own unique wand, wand sets, character wand replicas, or Interactive Wand. *Person chosen has the option whether or not to purchase their wand.
If you split this amount to each member of the family, it might be worth it. Of all the items in the pic, the wands are the most expensive ones so one coming free may be a good deal. However, there is a limitted selection for the free wand.
The only ticket that will allow guests to visit both Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade in the same day is the Universal Orlando park-to-park ticket. It's important to note that this is also the only ticket which will allow guests to ride the Hogwarts express!
If you are even the slightest Harry Potter fan, or if you have fans in your family, especially kids, buying a magic wand is a MUST. Having a magic, interactive, wand definitely adds to the fun of exploring the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Univeral Orlando.
Use a Wand HolsterA wand holster gives you the ability to keep your wand safely secured to you. Clip it onto your shorts, Fanny pack, backpack, etc. Some styles can be worn like a crossbody, strapped around your calf, or worn on your inner forearm.
With locations in both Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley, Ollivanders recreates the ritual of “the wand choosing the wizard.” For each performance, a small group enters the “shop,” and one guest is chosen to test out various wands until he or she finds a match, in a production punctuated by music and special effects.
