Do I need a special charger on a cruise ship?

Small chargers for things like phones, tablets, and e-readers that would be like a multiple port USB wall charger (or similar) are permitted onboard. However, extension cords, power strips, surge protectors, and multi-plugs may not be brought onto the ship.
