Do I need to tap my Orca card twice?

Using ORCA to pay your bus fare is an easy “one and done” – just tap on. That's it! There's no need to tap off when riding the bus. If you're transferring to another bus, just tap on when you board the next time within two hours.

ORCA cards cannot be tapped multiple times on a single journey and each rider must tap their own ORCA card. Assistance with Metro bus routes and schedules can be found at Metro's website.

Visit myORCA.com to get additional cards. Your phone cannot currently function as your ORCA card. You still need an ORCA card to pay your fare. Tap-to-pay functionality using the app will be available for riders starting in 2023, but is not currently an option.
