Do I need towels for CocoCay?

Since beach towels are provided onboard based on a check-out/check-in system, you should bring your towels back to the ship with you. Guests who have rented cabanas will have towels at the cabana and may leave the towels there upon departure.



You do not need to bring your own towels from home to Royal Caribbean’s private island, "Perfect Day at CocoCay." In 2026, the policy remains that guests should pick up fresh towels at the towel station on the ship before disembarking or at the various towel exchange stations located throughout the island (such as near Oasis Lagoon or Thrill Waterpark). You must scan your SeaPass card to "check out" the towels. It is crucial to return them to the ship or an island station by the end of the day; failing to do so will result in a $25 per towel replacement fee charged to your onboard account. If you have booked a private cabana or have access to the Coco Beach Club in 2026, premium, plush towels are provided at your seat, so you don't even need to visit the public towel stations.
