For the vast majority of guests, children under the age of 18 do not need a government-issued photo ID to enter Walt Disney World or to fly domestically within the United States when accompanied by an adult. For park entry, Disney relies on your valid theme park ticket or MagicBand; they do not check birth certificates at the gate for standard children's tickets. However, there is one important exception: if you are using a Florida Resident discount or a Military Promotional Ticket, the adult must provide proof of residency or a valid Military ID, and children aged 14-17 may occasionally be asked for a school ID if the age is in question for certain restricted offers. Additionally, for "lap infants" under the age of 3 who enter the parks for free, it is wise to have a digital copy of their birth certificate on your phone just in case a Cast Member questions their age, though this is rare. If your child is traveling internationally to reach Orlando, they will, of course, require a valid passport regardless of their age.
