As of 2026, the Little Mermaid Standard Rooms at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort have been updated to feature two Queen beds or one King bed, replacing the older double/full-size beds. This change was part of a broader resort-wide refurbishment to bring the "Value" tier rooms up to modern standards, similar to the updates at the All-Star Resorts and Pop Century. These rooms are approximately 260 square feet and are heavily themed with "under the sea" motifs, including seashell headboards and Ariel-themed artwork. While the beds are now larger and more comfortable for adults, the rooms themselves remain compact, so they can feel a bit snug when occupied by four adults. Unlike the "Family Suites" in the Lion King, Nemo, and Cars sections (which have a master bedroom with a queen and pull-out options), the Little Mermaid section is the only part of Art of Animation that offers traditional, single-room layouts. The addition of Queen beds has made these rooms a much more viable option for families with teenagers or groups of friends looking for a themed Disney experience on a budget.
