Do they metal detect you at Hersheypark?

How are guests screened as they enter Hersheypark®? Evolv uses state of the art sensors and imaging technology to identify items that are not permitted inside our venue. Evolv technology does not employ metal detection systems and provides a frictionless experience for our guests as they enter.

The Whip, which was located in the Midway America section of the park, is being removed for the 2023 season. Hersheypark confirmed this in a tweet regarding the removal of the ride. Thursday and Tuesday are often the best days to go for shorter lines, while Saturday and Sunday tend to be the busiest. The most popular months are typically April, May and September, while December, November and January are normally quieter. To get the most out of your day we recommend arriving early and leaving late.
