Do you have to fold stroller on Disney boat?

Resort boat launches – on most, your stroller will need to be folded prior to boarding. Friendship boats – strollers can be left open if space allows, but your child must be seated with you.

On the various Disney water transportation options, the rules for strollers depend on the size and type of the vessel. For the large "ferryboats" that travel between the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) and Magic Kingdom, you can generally leave your child in the stroller and keep it open, as these boats have massive, flat decks with ample space. However, on the smaller "FriendShip" boats (EPCOT area) or the "Gold/Green/Blue" water taxis, space is much more limited. On these smaller craft, you are almost always required to remove the child and fold the stroller before boarding to ensure clear walkways and maximize capacity. In 2026, Disney security and transportation Cast Members are quite strict about this for safety reasons. If you have a massive "double-wide" stroller, it is often easier to use the Monorail or the Ferryboat where folding is rarely required, allowing for a much more seamless transition between the parks and your resort.
