Unless you're visiting the abbey for individual prayer, you will need to buy a ticket to enter Westminster Abbey. As the abbey is a working church, it may be closed partially or completely for events or ceremonies. Westminster Abbey is usually open to visitors Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., though you should check the abbey's calendar for any scheduled closings before you plan your tour.
