When you purchase your Theme Park tickets you will see that you'll have a range of dates that these tickets can be used. For a five-day ticket, you'll have the ability to visit the Parks over a range of eight days. All of your tickets must be used within that valid 8-day window. After this, your tickets will expire.
You may book theme park reservations through the validity date of your tickets. Note that most multi-day tickets are valid up to 13 days after the first use. So after using one day of a non-promotional multi-day ticket, be sure to schedule or reschedule your other available park days within that window of validity.
Weekdays are less crowded than weekends, especially Monday-Thursdays. On weekends, Sundays are usually less crowded than Saturdays. Regular weekends tend to be less crowded than holiday weekends.
If a Magic Key holder has a reservation and does not show up for that reservation date, you do get a strike. According to the Magic Key Terms and Conditions, if you are a no-show for three reservations in any 90-day period, you will not be able to make any new reservations for 30 days.
The Disneyland Resort did give a free park admission ticket to Guests on their birthday as part of a limited-time promotion several years ago, but this is not currently offered. Tickets to enter Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park must be purchased for all visitors ages 3 and up.
There currently is no penalty for no-shows for standard tickets, however, Magic Key passes are different. If a Magic Key holder has a reservation and does not show up for that reservation date, you do get a strike.

Theme park tickets are sold in full day increments – there are one-day tickets and multi-day tickets. There is so much to see and take in, you'll need at least one full day, even if you visit only one park!
Guests are allowed to bring outside food and nonalcoholic beverages into the parks for self-consumption, provided they are not in glass containers, do not require heating, reheating, processing or refrigeration and do not have pungent odors.
