Do you need a parking pass at MSU?

All vehicles, including mopeds, motorcycles and bicycles, operated or parked on MSU property by a MSU student, must be registered with the MSU Parking Office and bear a current and valid permit in accordance with the Student Parking and Driving Regulations.

General parking for tailgating is now $30. There is a $20 entrance fee to Lot 89/MSU Pavilion with free roundtrip shuttle service.

It is recommended that visitors park at either lot 79, South of Spartan Stadium, or at lot 62 on the north side of the Stadium. These lots both allow all-day parking at a rate of approximately $2.00 per hour.

Public parking is available in the lot next to Spartan Stadium south of the Library on Red Cedar Drive at Visitor Parking Lot 62. From 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, the parking lots and spaces near the Library off Circle Drive are reserved for vehicles with faculty/staff parking permits.

The Safe Ride program provides free, on-campus transportation from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m., seven days a week, as a safe and accessible alternative for students traveling alone late at night.

Eligible faculty and staff, students, and retirees may purchase their parking permit from a Parking Customer Services (PCS) office or online. Permits purchased online will be sent to your home address within 2-5 business days.
