Does a 4 year old need a MagicBand?

Do Kids Need MagicBands at Disney World? No one needs a MagicBand, but if your child is 3 or over you'll need something that stores their ticket. Here's how this works at Disney World. MagicBands are wristbands that function as a park ticket and room key (as Disney hotels) during your Disney World ticket.

Just make sure they're active. One thing thats a slight bummer is cannot use them to buy points at resort arcades but thats life. They will work for purchases and tapping into rides. But they won't link the ride photos that don't have a touch point.

REUSE THEM If you've customized one of your bands or grown partial to a special edition band you purchased, you can reuse a band from a previous trip. Generally, the battery life of MagicBands is between 2-5 years, though the MagicBand+ may last longer because they are rechargeable.

If you've already made your dining reservations, call a Disney Cast Member using the phone number on the Restaurants FAQ webpage or modify the reservation via the My Disney Experience app. When you arrive at the restaurant, select the option in Mobile Check-In that your child is under the age of 3.
