In 2026, Disney's Animal Kingdom does not currently have a "High-Fidelity" permanent nightly spectacular like Fantasmic! or Happily Ever After. Since the closure of Rivers of Light, the park has focused on smaller, atmospheric nighttime experiences. The primary high-value draw is the Beacons of Magic projection show on the Tree of Life, which features high-fidelity lighting and music throughout the evening. Additionally, the Pandora – The World of Avatar land becomes a nighttime "show" in its own right with its high-fidelity bioluminescent flora and glowing pathways. However, starting in May 2026, Disney is reintroducing Extended Evening Hours for Deluxe Resort guests at Animal Kingdom on select nights, which often includes special high-value entertainment like the "Moonlight Magic" character greetings and limited-time light displays. While there isn't a single "must-see" firework show (as loud noises are avoided for animal welfare), the park's high-fidelity nighttime lighting and immersive bioluminescence remain a high-value necessity for anyone wanting to see the "River of Lights" era magic in a new, modern way.
