Many guests prefer to use flip-flops while walking in and around the water. If you would like to wear flip-flops, you may bring them with you or purchase them at the Blue Lagoon reception desk. Water shoes are allowed, but we don't offer them for sale.

You can also wear a swim cap, which you'll find for sale at our Blue Lagoon store. When you exit the lagoon, rinse your hair with fresh water and apply shampoo and conditioner, which are both provided in the shower. Use Blue Lagoon hair care products to help moisturize and protect your hair.

The fact of the matter is that Blue Lagoon's water does in many cases make your hair quite weird. The minerals in the water will coat each and every hair making it stiff and feel dry even though it isn't really.
