Does Disney allow rolling coolers?

Disney states that any cooler you bring into the parks may not be more than 24 x 15 x 18 inches and rolling coolers are not allowed in the parks. Not being able to have a rolling coolers makes things a little less desirable but there are a lot of options for bringing a cooler into the parks that can be easier.

Per the updated Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort rules for 2026, coolers with wheels are strictly prohibited inside the theme parks. This rule was implemented alongside the ban on "oversized" strollers and stroller wagons to improve the flow of guest traffic and reduce congestion in narrow walkways. The only exception to the "no wheels" rule is for guests who require a cooler for medical purposes, but even then, it must be screened and tagged by Security. For all other guests, you are permitted to bring a cooler as long as it is hand-carried and its dimensions do not exceed 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (61 cm x 38 cm x 46 cm). Additionally, loose ice and dry ice are prohibited; you must use re-freezable ice packs or "Ziploc" bags filled with ice to keep your food and drinks cold. This is to ensure that security guards can quickly and clearly see everything inside the cooler during the screening process without digging through freezing water. If you show up at the gate with a rolling cooler, you will be asked to either return it to your vehicle or rent a locker outside the park entrance (if available) to store it for the day.
