Does Disney cruise check-in open at midnight?

Remember: the check-in time is Midnight Eastern Time on your check-in day. Meaning, if your check-in date is Tuesday April 18, you can start the check-in process at midnight Eastern on Monday night. Important: Online check-in closes at midnight the day before your cruise.

Yes, the online check-in window for Disney Cruise Line typically opens at midnight (12:00 AM) Eastern Time on your designated check-in date. The date you are eligible to check in depends on your Castaway Club status and whether you have paid your cruise in full. For 2026, Pearl members can check in 40 days prior, Platinum at 35 days, Gold at 33 days, Silver at 30 days, and first-time cruisers at 30 days before sailing. Checking in right at midnight is highly recommended because it is when you select your Port Arrival Time. Earlier arrival times are coveted as they allow you to board the ship sooner and begin enjoying the amenities. During this process, you will also need to upload photos of your citizenship documents (passports) and a security photo for each guest. Because the system can experience high traffic at midnight, having your documents ready and a stable internet connection is essential to secure an early boarding group.

The snacks outside the theater, including the popcorn, are not complimentary. We like to go up to the pool deck and get a few snacks from the counter service stands (or even Cabanas if it is open) and take it down to the movie theater.

The best time to board a cruise ship is obviously when there are few lines and short waits. The trick is knowing when that will be. Unfortunately, it can vary from port to port and ship to ship, but I prefer arriving in the early afternoon, usually around 1 or 2 p.m.
