On October 31st, the primary celebration at Walt Disney World is Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom, which is a specially ticketed, after-hours event. On Halloween Day itself, this party is the "grand finale" of the season and features the Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade, the "Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular" fireworks, and trick-or-treating throughout the park. It is the only time adults are allowed to wear full costumes in the park. Outside of the paid party, the resorts often host themed activities like pumpkin carving contests, "campfire" spooky stories, and specialized Halloween treats in the food courts. At Disney Springs, you might find live DJ dance parties and seasonal photo backdrops. It is important to know that Magic Kingdom typically closes early (around 6:00 PM) to day-guests to prepare for the party, so if you don't have a party ticket, you should plan to spend your Halloween evening at EPCOT or Hollywood Studios instead.
